Sephora Collection Professional Fan Brush #43 I was on the fence about a fan brush for a while, but finally decided to purchase one.  From what i heard, this one was very good, and let me tell you, it is.  I have always been heavy-handed in my powder application, even with a duo-fibre brush.  I thought i was doomed to cakey face forever, until i got my hands on this.  You put on your powder normally (for me, it’s with a 129)  and use the fan brush to blend, and “move” the product  as the website describes it.  I don’t know how this amazing brush works, but it really does.  So for all you heavy-handed powder people, this is your brush.   Other things i use this for are brushing off eyeshadow fallout underneath my eyes (it’s so soft, it’s able to do that without smearing color all over), softening up a slight foundation line, and contouring your cheekbones very lightly.

L’oreal Voluminous Mascara I’m going to say this is the best drugstore mascara i have used.  I’m not going to lie, it does not compare to Dior or Chanel mascaras, but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, here it is.  There isn’t any clumping, smudging, flaking, or drooping throughout the day.  To get the volume, length, and color, you have to use a few coats.  The curl isn’t spectacular, but it does the job, especially if you curl your lashes before applying the mascara.  For me at least, it works especially well if you hold the brush at the root of your lashes, wiggle the brush around, then run the brush the rest of the way through.  I haven’t used this with a lash primer yet, but i would assume that it would improve the mascara a decent amount.  So if $30 mascara isn’t where it’s at for you, i would recommend this.   What is YOUR favorite drugstore mascara?  Leave your answer in the ask box, or reply to this post, and i’ll see if i can either get some and try it myself, or find a review on it somewhere else.

benefit tinted moisturizer you rebel makeup High Quality
Benefit You Rebel tinted moisturizer $30 I haven’t tried very many tinted moisturizers, but out of the 3 i have tried, this is by far my favorite.  In case you don’t know, a tinted moisturizer is a light coverage moisturizer that isn’t as heavy as a foundation, and has the consistency of a sunscreen.  You can put it on using your fingers, a sponge, a foundation brush, or a duo fiber brush.  It’s perfect for summer and this one has SPF 15 in it.  Anyways, it gives a good amount of  coverage without being heavy or cakey at all.  It sets perfectly with a M.A.C. Mineralize Skinfinish Natural.  It has ingredients in it that are good for your skin such as aloe, vitamin A, and vitamin E.  It is moisturizing, but i have very very dry skin, so i have to use a separate moisturizer underneath.  If you have normal skin, you should be fine, but if you have oily skin, i would suggest using a mattifying face primer.  The only negative is the smell.  I think it has a odd smell to it, but i have a sensitive nose when it comes to sunscreens and moisturizers.  Other than that, i love this product and would highly recommend it! There are also 2 shades.  The You Rebel Lite is for fairer skined people, and the You Rebel Original is for more tan people.  

Benefit You Rebel tinted moisturizer $30

Urban Decay Primer Potion eyeshadow base In my opinion, the best eyeshadow primer i have used.  It goes on very creamy, and is easy to blend wherever you need it.  Be it on your lid, brow bone, lower lashline, wherever.  It comes with a curved wand applicator that you use to smear on area being primed, you can then either blend out with your finger, or a synthetic bristled concealer brush.  It makes the eyeshadows you use more vibrant, it doesn’t crease, and they stay on all day without any smudging or smearing.  A must-have for any makeup user.   They also make this primer in 2 other colors.  ”Sin” is a shimmery beige-ey gold color, that can be used alone as a primer/shadow in one, or under a sheer shadow that you would like to have a more pigmented look.  The 2nd color is “Eden”  It is a matte taupey color that you could use either alone, or as a base for a bright matte shadow.

The M.A.C. 182 kabuki brush. My favorite brush.  Not only could i go on for days about how soft and full the brush feels on your face, but the quality and versatility of this brush is amazing.  Need to put on a tinted moisturizer?  Need to set your liquid foundation with powder?  Apply a powder with coverage with no foundation?  This brush does the trick.   Warning:  It is so soft, i often find myself swirling it on my face for much longer than needed.  Which blends out my product too much and i need to use more, which wastes in the long run.  Keep track of yourself while using it.

The M.A.C. 182 kabuki brush.
